SMS Teknik is GDPR READY
We follow industry organization MORGAN and SMS Teknik is your Data Processor.
Since May 25th 2018 is the General Data Protection Regulation in place. The reason that GDPR has been developed is that the protection of personal data should be even throughout the EU. GDPR contains relegations regarding the processing of personal data and also results in a number of changes for many companies. Because of this SMS Teknik AB has updated our general terms and conditions.
SMS Teknik AB handles all data from the customer as personal data in all respect and without reservation in agreement with GDPR:s regulations. The customer is responsible for the personal data as controller and SMS Teknik AB commits to handle personal data as processor on behalf of the customer.
There has also been many discussions and analysis regarding who is going to act as sub-processors. The final conclusion is that operators will not act as sub-processors to us.
”The mobile operators consider themselves to be a commonly personal data controller for intermediation of calls and messaging according to article 26 in the General Data Protection Regulation. They are not to be considered as a sub-processor. That means that they treat personal data with their own responsibilities to fulfill all parts of GDPR.”

The exposure lasted for 19 minutes and resulted in the copy being deleted, with a ransom note left by the attackers who gained access to the system
